Dips loses 'race' to Piggy Chops

There is a strong rumour doing the rounds that Priyanka Chopra is all set to replace Deepika Padukone in Race 2. Deepika's schedule is too tight for the next few months, especially after she signed Ayan Mukherjee's Yeh Jawani Hain Diwani , and so, it's impossible for her to be part of Race 2 . Producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips recently posted on Twitter that the film was ready to roll. Since Deepika couldn't work out the dates she will have to opt out and if sources are to be believed, the makers are planning to cast Priyanka instead. Piggy Chops too has shown interest in doing the film.

Big B goes spiritual in new album

Amitabh Bachchan has launched the Shri Hanuman Chalisa in his unique baritone! Presented by AB Corp & Veecon Music & Entertainment, the Shri Hanuman Chalisa has been recorded in Bachchan's voice along with 20 other renowned playback singers and artists from the Indian film industry.

The music has been composed by Aadesh Shrivastava, under the Veecon Music label. This is the first time in India that a single song CD featuring only one track sung by 21 singers was released. The 20 other singers to join Big B to sing for the song include Aadesh Shrivastava, Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Abhijit, Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Shaan, Kailash Kher, Prasoon Joshi, Kay Kay, Sukhwinder Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Kunal Ganjawala and Vinod Rathod. Anchored by Harish Bhimani, the launch event of the Chalisa began with the unveiling of a majestic idol of Lord Hanuman with a loud conch playing in the background. Jaya Bachchan, along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graced the event with their presence. However, a glowing Ash was the centre of attraction at the event where she was seen mingling with all the guests.

Fan's marriage proposal on telly angers Deepika

Deepika Padukone was left fuming when a fan proposed her on a reality show. Varun from Dehradun, who appeared on the show Live My Life in his excitement went on to propose Deepika, which wasn't taken kindly by the actress. Varun met different people who play an integral role in Deepika's life like her Yoga teacher, her trainer and also met ace choreographer Farah Khan, Varun kept on asking everyone that how exactly should he propose Deepika because he apparently wanted to marry her. Deepika was actually heard reprimanding him saying "How can you go around and tell people u want to marry me"
