Today in Bollywood

Imran Khan recently said he has no Hollywood ambition. Could it be because there's no Khan Uncle there? Or is it because Hollywood already has all the Robert Pattinson they need?

Kareena Kapoor turns 31 on September 21, but she has decided to give celebrations a miss.

Ranbir continues his promotion spree with a giant poster of Rockstar, Malaika will bring her Munni appeal to an item number in Housefull 2, and the Kangana vs Rascals feud ends. Click on the image below to see the video

Men of Style: Kunal Kapoor

There's no other actor who defines tall dark and handsome as well as Kunal Kapoor does. With easy charm and quiet demeanor, Kunal has gradually emerged as one of the leading style icons of the country. While the models-turned-actors are considered to be the fashion-forward ones in the country, Kunal is one of the very few Bollywood actors, who create trends and not follow them.

Here are certain aspects which make him a man of style.

Kunal Kapoor hasn't been one who goes around the fashion scene blindly aping the latest designs like many other actors. Rather, Kunal has emerged to be one of the main players in fashion owing to his individual but subtle way of dressing. Kapoor is becoming more and more fashion forward by experimenting with, not only his outfits but also his look.

For Kunal, his wardrobe basics include well fitted pair of jeans, crisp shirts and linen jackets as he is almost always seen sporting them.

For us, Kunal's biggest fashion moment has to be stepping out in his flying uniform. Kunal, who is now a licensed pilot, re-defines style as we don't think any pilot has ever looked better in his uniform

Kunal's trademark style has always been simple and elegant. His dress sense is age-appropriate and hence very sober but, Kunal makes sure that his outfits always spell fashion!

Kunal's best feature is his excruciatingly cute smile. His smile gives way to the softie he is inside, rather than what his rugged look suggests.

Kunal has proudly flaunted his long mane ever since his arrival in B-town He maintained that hairstyle is the most important part of a man's style and made sure he paid minute attention to it. However, he has chopped off his famous locks for the movie 'Don 2' and we have to say he couldn't look hotter.

Kunal does not rely on designers to perfect his style. In fact, he himself, laughingly says that he rarely looks good in designer wear and carries off the street-chic much better.

From the shy looking guy-next-door to a prominent face in fashion, Kunal Kapor's growth has been immense. He has re-invented himself over the years and is rightly one of the most stylish men of the country

Almost made it on Bigg Boss

Aftab Shivdasani: This boy-next-door could’ve had a whole new career, or a career to begin with if rumours of him being on Bigg Boss 4 would’ve come true. But unfortunately for him, it didn’t and yes, he continues to be a lifetime member in Bollywood’s strugglers anonymous

He may have been Bollywood’s first superstar back in the day. But today, Rajesh Khanna has been reduced to a freak show, following a dodgy political career and a string a lead roles in B-grade films. So it wasn’t surprising that he was considered for the show in it’s third season. What led to a fallout between the TV channel and Khanna can only be contemplated but our birdie tells us that Khanna demanded a regular supply of booze when on the show, which was touted as the prime reason for crossing him off the list

Some actors are better off on-screen is a phrase commonly used for Chunkey Pandey. After stories of his ridiculous antics at parties (he shed his trousers at SRK’s party), the audience could’ve got a sleazy treat, if he would’ve agreed to be on the show. But better sense prevailed and he was spared the possible public humiliation when he refused to be on the show

Easily the biggest contemporary pop icon, Lady Gaga has been approached to be a contestant on the show for the upcoming season of Bigg Boss. Should we expect a bad reality romance or a field day for the pop paparazzi, only time will tell

A pleasant face is the second biggest qualifier for reality TV after violently quarrelsome. And our very own cereal queen Lara Dutta was almost considered for the upcoming season or so said the TV pundits. But when she heard about the rumours, she was in splits and even tweeted, saying, “I'm in Bigg Boss 5? That's the funniest rumour I've heard so far!"

For most TV actors, this reality show has truly been the best platform for an image makeover. And if they’re lucky, a boost enough to bag a chance to host another reality show. Manish Goyal, after a long run of forgotten flop TV shows, hoped to be a contestant on Bigg Boss. But his optimistic dream was crushed as he wasn’t offered the chance. We can safely say, this dropout wasn’t missed by many

Reality TV breeds on freaks and the famous who have no qualms about getting bitter and wild on national TV. So who better than Mike Tyson, who has had his share of bitter bites inside the ring. While sources say that the ace boxer has signed on the dotted line, we would like to be more realistic if not conservative about this rumour actually turning into a reality. And if he does show up, we’re surely in for some out-of-the-ring action

Mohanlal: This four-time National Award winner could’ve taken this reality show to another level if he had agreed to be a contestant in the third season when he was offered a chance. But again, he refused to go from southern superstar to reality show freak

The big goss in the last season of this reality show was that the original Rambo of Hollywood, Sylvester Stallone would trigger his way into the Bigg Boss house. The idea to get the Hollywood hunk on the show was a desperate attempt to boost TRPs. And even though his appearance was limited to the gossip columns that featured this news item, just the hope that he could show up in the following episodes was enough to keep viewers glued to the idiot box
She is the biggest diva of Bollywood and having her on a reality show would surely grab enough eye balls. Atleast that’s what the TV channel thought when they approached her. In this case, Zeenat clearly refused the offer and her fans were deprived of getting to see their idol in a different light

A stunner on any given day

Birthday girl Bebo's sacrifice

Kareena Kapoor won’t celebrate her birthday this year. The superstar, who turns 31 on September 21, has decided to cancel all celebrations owing to the ill health of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, father of her actor- boyfriend Saif Ali Khan.

Kareena had earlier planned a grand bash on Wednesday, to mark a double celebration. Apart from her birthday, Kareena was also in the mood to toast the blockbuster success of her latest release, the Salman Khan- starrer Bodyguard , which opened in August on the occasion of Eid.

Im-poster! Bollywood caught red-handed

The latest to join the copy-cat bandwagon is 'Ra One' with posters inspired from ‘Tron: Legacy’ and ‘Batman Begins’. As soon as SRK unveiled the teaser poster, comparisons with the Hollywood film's poster was all over the internet. This poster is clearly a copy from Christian Bale, Katie Holmes starrer ‘Batman Begins’

Though there were not many takers for the Hrithik Roshan- Barbara Mori love saga ‘Kites’, the poster was a visual rip-off of the 2004 film ‘Notebook’. The makers of ‘Kites’ also didn’t mind lifting a few scenes also from the Hollywood film.

The audience would have expected the brother-sister duo of Farhan-Zoya Akhtar to atleast have an original poster. But like the rest of Bollywood, they also looked for bare-bodied inspiration in Katherine Hardwicke’s ‘Lords of Dogtown’.

When the ‘Murder 2’ makers asked the audience to choose their favourite poster, little did they realize that it would get so much flak. The poster starring Emraan and Jacqueline has a number of outstretched arms entangled between some branches and roots have been "inspired" by the poster of Lars won Trier's " Antichrist".
The makers of ‘Ugly aur Pagli’ were truly lacking in the creative department. While the film was a rip-off of ‘My Sassy Girl’, the poster was a copy of hugely successful TV series ‘Till Death’.
